Peter Watson
Main Educator
Professional Experience
Peter Watson is a risk management consultant with 18 years’ experience delivering advisory services, internal audits, regulatory reviews and managing change for clients. Many of his clients have been large firms in the financial services sector: insurers, banks and interdealer brokers. Peter has also worked with public sector clients, manufacturing and media companies. Following 20 years’ service in the British Army and degrees in statistics and business administration, Peter joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000, where he was to be part of the UK firm’s early thinking on enterprise risk management frameworks. In 2010, he joined KPMG and worked on projects to improve risk management within banks, but primarily to assist insurers comply with the European Union’s Solvency II Directive, in particular compliance with its risk management system requirements.

Professional Experience
Torben Juul Andersen is currently professor of Strategy and International Management and the director of the Global Strategic Responsiveness initiative at the Copenhagen Business School. Previously, he taught George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University. Professor Torben has 15+ years working at a number global, high-profile banks within the securities and risk division. He is also coming on 20 years of teaching experience, where he has focused his knowledge and expertise within the strategy, risk and management area.
The professor has written close to 30 published academic articles as well as 10+ books, all within the focus of risk, strategy and management. We’re excited to have him on board to teach on the fourth day of the CERM course.
